Syrian sweets are considered the best and most popular kind of sweets in the middle east Where it is distinct by its deliciousness and good taste, and Syria is famous for producing the most delightful nutritious sweets, rich with calories to provide the body with energy to work for long hours it is also spread through the neighboring countries specially in Ramadan. Every city in Syria has its own twist on these traditional dessert and the most known ones in Syria are Baklawa, Barazik, Asabee Alset , Mhalaye, and other kinds that are mixed between modern and traditional taste. In the holiday season, people get creative in presenting and selling them in the old city of Damascus to attract more costumers like arranging them in the shape of a pyramid.
